Mexican Hot Heart Chocolate

Now, let's get this party for two started with a RAWLICIOUS HOT recipe to ring in the month of love!

Need something warming for your Valentine? This version of a traditional Mexican Hot Chocolate, heart and all will do the trick. It's warm to the touch and a bit spicy on the lips. It's sure to warm you through and through!

INGREDIENTS:

  • 3 cups water
  • 1 cup pecans
  • 1/4 cup agave syrup (or sweetener of choice)
  • 1/4 cup cacao powder
  • 1 Tbsp vanilla powder
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp chile powder
  • Pinch Himalayan pink salt

Topping

  • 1 Tbsp Cacao Powder
  • Heart Shaped Cookie Cutter

PROCEDURE:

  1. Place all ingredients, as listed, in high powered blender and blend until well combined.
  2. Strain resulting 'milk' through nut milk bag.
  3. Place strained milk back into blender and process on high until warm and creamy.
  4. Hold heart shape cookie cutter over mixture and sprinkle in cacao powder to form heart in hot chocolate drink
